Hello, If your organization holds events and your constituents have been frustrated by the OLX event form which has no option for someone to make a donation without registering for the event then I am asking for your support. Support from the community could make a difference so please vote for this idea. This has been an issue for several years.  Thanks for your time and consideration! Judi

    Hi Judi Umbreit‍ - Thanks for posting the link to the idea bank, I complete agree that this should already be a feature.  


    In the meantime, I have seen organizations set up a landing page with (buttons/links) to 2-3 separate OLX forms for: donations, registrations, sponsorships, etc.  While it is not a perfect compromise it does allow users to choose what they would like to do and end up on a form that can support that action.

    Hi guys...thanks for sharing how valuable this would be for you. I'm happy to confirm that while OLX probably won't ever add the ability to make a gift via an event reg form without registering for the event itself, our all new event reg form in RE NXT will be adding this capability! It won't be in the initial version of the form but it's planned work so stay tuned!!!

    You asked for clarification of how the new RE NXT event reg forms will benefit the event forms you've set up in Online Express. The new RE NXT event forms won't support or enhance existing Online Express forms at all. The RE NXT forms are all new, built from the ground up to be natively available to be created and managed right from within the context of the event record itself in RE NXT and offer and all new registration processing workflow that's dramatically better and more efficient than what's available to you in Online Express.


    It may help to know that we're very purposefully building and delivering the next generation of capabilities natively in RE NXT with the full intention that they replace what Online Express is used for today. We've had a long-standing goal of getting RE NXT to the point where our customers no longer have to rely on "database view" to manage their fundraising and marketing/engagement workflows and activities...and this definitely includes all aspects of Online Express.


    I share that as hopefully helpful context for community posts you might come across where Blackbaud staff mention that some new feature requests (like the one in this thread) will be delivered as part of new capabilities coming to RE NXT (as opposed to in the legacy product that RE NXT will eventually replace).
