Fund Relationship Export

Options
Desperately seeking help!! I currently need to list ALL scholarship/endowment funds along with their Fund Rep and Scholarship Recipient. ALL funds need to be listed whether a Fund Rep or Recipient exist so this definitely need to be Fund driven. The issue comes in with the Fund Rep because I need to list an additional addressee/salutation that was created specifically to be listed in the Luncheon program and whether the rep is deceased or not.  None of these fields are available under Fund Relationship.  The Fund Relationship Export also does not offer any solution to my issue. What should be a fairly easy pull has become a thorn in my side.

A lot of work has been done to streamline this process.  We imported all the scholarship recipients and created fund relationships for them and globally/manually added the additional addressee to all reps. We also created attributes on the Fund so that they are easily identifiable as those that are to be listed in the program, but if I try to flip and do a constituent export, I am not able to choose these funds unless I sit and manually put in every fund.  I am not able to filter by my beautiful attribute nor choose a query. I have been reading some other discussions and it seems like the type of issue has been going on for YEARS.  Has anyone come up with a work around?

  • Hi Joi-

Here's the short answer. You have correctly identified a shortcoming with Fund Exports in that there's very limited access to relationship data. Ultimately, I think you'll have to complete this with a couple of Exports, one for funds and another for constituents that are fund reps and then connect the two lists in Excel using VLOOKUP against the Fund Ids. What you are trying to accomplish is do-able, but not solely using Raiser's Edge tools.
  • This is why we have fund records and an organization fund record. It's a pain!!  The organization fund record is the one with relationships and notes.  Notes is where we have the full purpose of the fund for the endowment report.
