Tracking Luminate Donation Form in Google Analytics

Options
Using this knowledgebase article, https://kb.blackbaud.com/articles/Article/96817, I confirmed that we have our Google Analytics account integrated with Luminate. However, I don't know how to actually look at the page impressions in Google Analytics. I have tried to search our donation page URL (the Convio link) via acquisition > search console > landing pages > filter for specific page in Google Analytics, and it doesn't show up (which leads me to believe I'm missing some tracking code). Any advice? Ultimately, I want to be able to track conversions by setting up goals in Google Analytics, but my first step is to see if we even have the two integrated, and if Google Analytics is even tracking the page impressions. I'd like to be able to see how many visitors we have to our donation page. Thanks!

  • An easy way to see if the two are at least connected is to go to Behavior > Site Content > All Pages and look if you're getting pageviews on your pages coming from Luminate. Make sure to change your date range to include a set of dates where the GA code was added, and also check the Segments to see if you're looking at "All Users" or a possible different segment (we have a GA view that includes multiple websites and use segments to filter specific domains).

If you're not seeing any Luminate pages in the results, you can try searching by a pagename or even a donation form number to see if anything pops up. If you aren't getting any results, I would say there's an issue with your setup and/or GA implementation.

The default Luminate Online integration with Google Analytics is very old and relies on a code that's been deprecated by Google.

You can use the instructions in another thread to configure a code that uses the newest Google Analytics code and accurately records donation transactions in Google Analytics.

    I hope this is helpful.
