zip code

Options
We often verify the zip code on the persona page for new entries. We use to click on the usps.com link and got an immediate display of the address we entered to verify it was a valid address. That link no longer works that way--you end up at a usps.com page and must manually enter the address you want to verify. What changed and why? Can we get the old function back?

  • I am also dismayed by this change; I used the usps link all the time, because it was so easy, so helpful, so quick! I asked eTapestry why and was told that the new system was more accurate and therefore more helpful. The new system is neither.

The old system was accurate AND helpful, and I would also like to have the old function back. We are paying more for eTap this year, and are getting less.
  • Why did the zip code link change?  I also used it all the time.  Was really helpful when the USPS fields automatically filled.  Way too time consuming now.  Can we have the old link back??
  • This is also a problem for us.  I really liked the old link that populated the address in the usps page.  Why have the link if it doesn't do this.  You can get to the usps.com site on your own and type in an address.  The benefit of the old link was it populated the usps fields and all you had to do was hit search.

  • I was extremely disappointed when this feature was no longer available. When I asked about it, this is the response I received:

"I have asked our developers for clarification on where we are with this issue.  I have been informed that the USPS has changed the functionality of that particular feature which is out of our control.  We will no longer be able to have the address automatically populate on the USPS site based on the information entered on the persona in eTapestry.  I have updated the knowledgebase article to reflect this information"
