How best to use proposal actions and action notes

Options
Hello!

We are preparing for a campaign and exploring the best way to use actions that are linked to/for a proposal and the action notes for those kinds of actions. As an example, our strategy to entice someone to give is to schedule 4 meetings with them. We were thinking there are two ways we could use actions and action notes. One way it to enter 4 actions for the 4 meetings. The drawback to this is that each time the meeting gets rescheduled someone will need to go in and change the action date. The other option is that we create one action with a category of task/other and an action type of strategy and then the notes for that action detail the 4 meetings that we'd like to have with that constituent.

I'm looking for thoughts on our two ideas or what you think the best way to use proposal actions and the related action notes are.

Thank you!

Read Bill Connors book "Fundraising with the Raiser's Edge" a non-technical guide".  It has a whole section just on this topic.
