One report detailing different pledges

Options
Currently we establish a campaign year with an overall goal , EX 2017-2018, and 76 funds, Ex 0001_2017-2018, 0011_2017-2018, etc., under that campaign that constitute the amount due from parishes to meet that campaign goal. Pledges and paycash gifts are recorded for parishioners who donate to their parish goal.  Any amount still owed on the parish goal must be met by payments from the parish.  We usually record them as just a cash payment toward goal.  We are looking at changing the parish payment to reflect a pledge and payment in full.  Is there a way of reporting with Fund Performance Analysis so that I can clearly see on one report the pledges from parishioners separate from the pledges we create from parish payments without creating different funds? Any insight is much appreciated.

  • I'm not sure this can be done via fund performance analysis. Do you currently use appeal for anything in particular when it comes to these types of gifts? My first instinct is to also have an appeal for each parish and then associated packages (could just be "Parish" and "Parishoners"). Then you could do an appeal performance analysis to see the totals for all of your parishes at once (filter on the campaign and make sure your settings are set to display package detail). You would need to set your gift types tab to look only at pledges maybe, and also only show amount owed instead of the full pledge amount if you're actually trying to see how much is owed per parish.

There may be other ways to do this - this is just the way I'm most familiar with. We do most of our gift breakdowns based on appeal rather than fund.
