TeamRaiser vs. EveryDayHero?

Options
Hi Community,

I couldn't find any resources that clarify the differences between TR and EveryDayHero.  I understand both are BlackBaud modules, EveryDayHero coming from ETapestry and TR from Blackbaud.  Who uses which and why?  We have Luminate and Raiser's Edge and are thinking down the road to using a "team" module for Third Party Fundraising.  We're still "kicking the can" around, as they say, so I thought some research from the Community woudl be helpful.

Thanks!

    Hi Lisa,

    At a high level:

TeamRaiser is for traditional events like Walks, Runs and Cycling events.

EDH is for smaller events and non-traditional P2P activities. EDH is a completely separate product that integrates with eTap.

  • We are curently using Sphere (aka Friends Asking Friends) and also wondering about the difference between Everyday Hero and TeamRaiser...in more detail such as integration steps, reporting options, etc. Are there any community members who have experience with both?

I have looked at the integration powerpoint for Everyday Hero but still have questions. For example, I see an edit button next to the import file but wondering how much "editing" you can do.

It really depends on what you're looking for in terms of how much customization you want and what functionality you want to offer your fundraisers. EDH is a pretty standard template (the layout/design is the same between clients, with some customization like logos/colors), but it super simple to set up since you don't have to customize look/feel. TR is a more extensive set up process, but you have more control over what functionality you offer and the way the layout is set up. Conversely, you are more limited with what you can adjust in EDH, and have more options with TR if you have someone who knows how to do customizations on your team. EDH also tends to be a bit easier for a participant to update their page (you don't go to a participant center to edit, you simply login and then edit the page you're looking at), but with that you lose the option of providing fundraising tools through the TR participant center. So it's give and take and really comes down to what's important to you. Other things to consider may be the type of reporting you need, data syncing needs, and possible differences in fees/charges. Your CSM should be able to help you answer those questions and figure out which tool is right for your particular campaign. Hope that helps!
