Batch Commit process is very slow since Wednesday

Options
Hi,

I'm having this issue  that just started on Wednesday of this week, when committing a gift batch in RE:

When pressing the Green flying ! to commit, Instead of the grey box popping up right away so you can click 'commit', it seems to be looping/scrolling line by line, seemingly 'verifying' and saving each line as it scrolls.  This takes a very long time for larger batches (like hours and hours) and Blackbaud Raiser's Edge support doesn't seem to know what's changed in the last couple of days, or why this is happening, or be able to replicate the issue on their end.  This is significantly impacting my ability to do my job.

Anyone else experienceing it or have an idea as to what might be happening?  We are in a hosted environment by the by.

Thanks!

  • Hi, we had a similiar issue this week.  When the gift processor committed the batch, it took a long time, the screen went grey, and then unfortunately, almost all 700 gifts in the batch (it was an employee payroll batch) went to cash instead of pay cash.  UGH!  Most of our employees have more than one pledge, so we always have to go line by line to apply to the correct pledge.  I globally deleted that batch, then she had to go line by line to apply the paycash to the correct pledge again.  It was very time consuming.  Not sure if this is related to your issue?  We are hosted out of Boston.
  • Oh geez-that sounds like a nightmare!  Sounds like a different issue, but there is definitely something going on!  We are in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
  • Hi! Yes, I am experiencing exactly the same thing - the commit batch takes a long time, and I can see it going through the lines one by one. It is VERY SLOW.

  • Yes!..Assuming you are also in a hosted environment?  I can't believe how slow it is.  It currently takes us 16 hours to commit a batch of just over 4000 transactions-totally outrageous!
