find new donors at a particular giving level after a certain date?

Good morning,

I need to find donors who have hit a certain level of giving for the past consecutive 5 years.  I can do this, but get stumped when I have to make sure they never hit that level in previous fiscal years.  So I need to know yearly totals for all previous fiscal years to make sure they are new to certain giving levels just for last 5 FY.  Any ideas?  All help greatly appreciated.

    Use the Total Gift Amount under summary information in Export. Apply the appropriate criteria and even export several giving summaries all at once.

    I would create a RE query with several Gift Amount Summaries: Sum of gifts for 2005, ..., Sum of gifts for 2014, Sum of gifts for 2015, Sum of gifts for 2016, etc. Don't forget to rename the column heading so you know what they refer to. Then I would export that to an Excel spreadsheet and analyze it there with formulas and counts.

    I think they know to use summaries but if you are looking at A LOT of Fiscal Years that is A LOT of work. We are talking about new to that level since the beginning of time then you need to go all the way back to the first gift of your oldest donor.
