NC to Raiser's Edge record linking tool ignores phone numbers while searching

In attempting to link individuals with transactions Net Community to existing constituents in Raiser's edge we search for similarities based on names, addresses, phone numbers, e-mail...all the usual fields. However, recently I've noticed that the search fails when phone numbers are used as the only search criteria. Constituents with the EXACT same phone numbers are not being picked up by the search/linking tool in Net Community. This seems relatively new. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be? Thanks!

    I hope you're having a great week! This is currently an issue that is being evaluated by our software engineering team to be addressed in an upcoming release. Please add the following Knowledgebase solution to your bookmarks to monitor the status of the issue. As an alternative to searching only by phone number, all other fields can still be used to search for constituents.

    Does this issue apply to organization searching as well?  We have organizations that give through NetCommunity but the search fields will not recognize the address line even though it is an exact match.  Is there a way to include Orgs when searching or is NetCommunity only searching for Indviduals?  Thanks!
