Data Quality Queries

I am currently redesigning all of our queries and creating queries to check data quality. As I am sure I won't think of everything, I am wondering what others use as some of their data quality check queries?

    Salutation/Addressee clean-up (mulitiple queries)

Address clean-up (queries for formatting issues, blank address lines, blank city, etc.)

Constituent Code queries (to see if any need to be added)

    Gender clean-up

I would also add attributes.  Generally with addresses domestic or forign you will need to pull them as well.   I would also review contacts and spouses to make sure the contacts are not duplicated.

  • I second the motion to search for Clean up queries in this Forum.  There are quite a few ideas out there that range from simple to pretty complex depending on your needs.

You can search for Clean up, Audit, and Maint to find the other threads on this topic.

My quick answer for you in my short experience with RE.  I currently have interns running through some simple queries to validate, Gender, Addressee and Salutations ( if applicable) and confirming phone numbers / email addresses with backups we have on file.
