Idea challenge

Options
Hi everyone!

I'm fairly new to the capabilities of blackbaud.

I would like to create an eblast that would get our donors to share their stories on a post-it.

The post-it would essentially go on a landing page where other people could read it.

Are there any examples out there I could take a look to see how we might be able to do?

thanks so much!

Two out-of-the-box ideas come to mind:

[1] If you have a version of NetCommunity with login and personal notes functional parts, you can encourage your donors to login, enter a personal note (which goes back onto their RE record as well), and it would then display in a notes display on a web page.  See https://alumni.thehill.org/connect/in-remembrance for an example of the notes display, although this page is In Remembrance focused.

[2] Without any login, but requiring a fundraiser and fundraiser scroller elements parts in NetCommunity (Pro version), you can use the donation form view of the fundraiser and the comments fields from the form. When a donor makes a gift and enters their post-it story in the comments field, the note goes back into RE on the gift record and also can scroll (in large or small area) on a web page. See right rail on http://www.rettracers.org/2016-pfp?tab=0&frsid=4589 as an example where 'name as you would like it to be recognized' was used for the comments field and is included in scroller. You can opt to not show gift amount and only show comments, if you wish.  Of course, you can also use the discussion forum part on this type of page (at bottom) or a general discussion group/forum part (non fundraiser element) for sharing general comments by donors.  Those will not go into RE.
