Acting on a query to delete unmatched gifts and pledges

Options

Hi everyone, I am currently working on cleaning up our organization's databases of all old unmatched gifts/pledges. I ran a query to identify such unmatched gifts and pledges and now I would like to know if there is a way to go in and delete all these pledges/matches in one fell swoop. Any and all guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Yes it is possible to “delete all these pledges/matches in one fell swoop" if you have user rights to global delete. Admin > Globally Delete Records

Global delete can not be undone so great care is required to be sure you have just what you want in your query. I suggest testing with a query of just a couple gifts in your query first to be sure. Global processes can have unexpected results for the inexperienced.

Just to clarify, you are only deleting the MG pledge, correct? Not the gift that was to be matched.

This knowledgebase describes how it is done.

How to globally delete constituent records, gift records and any other records in Raiser's Edge?

The Globally Delete Records function removes records (or parts of those records) from your database. ... Print and close the report. ... A global deletion deletes records in their entirety.

@Achal Thakore Just checking, you're only looking to delete the MG pledge? I don't think you mean to delete unmatched gifts.
