Tend to your Rebuilding Groups

Options

Are you planning a large end-of-year email campaign? Strongly consider taking one step to enhance site performance during your campaign send: Disable rebuilding groups that are no longer in use. To improve site performance, a new tool helps you view and manage your query-based groups. On your administrative site, navigate to Constituent360 > Groups > Rebuilding Groups List to view a list of groups your site rebuilds on a daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly basis.

  • Kent this is great. Thanks!

I also have a related question about how the rebuild works--if you have a group that automatically rebuilds from a query, does it remove people from the group who no longer meet the query criteria? For example say I have a query that identifies any donors who gave in the past 30 days and they are added to a group.  When  I rebuild that group next month, do the donors who gave more than 30 days ago get removed from the group or are new members just added?

Yes. If they no longer meet the query criteria then they are removed from the group upon rebuild.
