How do I change a registration into a donation in TeamRaiser?

You will need to de-activate and remove the registrations that are made for donations.  

When you do so, you will be given the option to make the registration fee a donation for the event.

Once that is done, you can access the transactions and soft credit them to the correct participant.

To change a registration into a donation:

1. Login to the admin side of your site.

2. Navigate to Fundraising | TeamRaiser.

3. Search for the TeamRaiser and click Manage.

4. Search for the participant you want to change and click Search This TeamRaiser.

5. Click on the participant's name in the Particpant List.

6. Next to "Status", click Make Inactive.

7. In the "Make this Participation Registration Inactive" window that pops up, click Confirm.

8. Back on the Profile tab in the browser, the Delete Registration Records link displays.

9. Click Delete Registration Records.

10. In the warning page that displays, select "Convert the registration payment to a gift that is soft-credited to the event". If necessary, adjust the value of goods.

11. Click Finish.

12. Navigate to Constituent360 | Constituents.

13. Search for the participant you just made inactive in the TeamRaiser.

14. Click the Transactions tab.

15. In the Tranaction History section, find the donation to the TeamRaiser.

16. Click Change Soft Credit.

17. In the window that pops up, select "TeamRaiser Participant" and click Search.

18. Search for the participant the donation should be made to and click Next>>.

19. Find the participant you just searched for and click Select.

20. In the confirmation screen, verify the data is correct and click Apply.
