Limit of 500 funds using the RELO Tool

I am wondering if anyone out there has had an issue with the RELO plug-in tool limiting the number of funds available to access from RE NXT. We ran into an issue while trying to cross reference funds for an event and the fund number did not appear on the drop down menu. We contacted support and were told to place a zero in front of the fund number to have it appear. This was not an optimal long term solution so we inquired more. We found some instructions on how to set the available fund number up to 10,000 in the settings. We changed the settings to 3,000 funds and it seemed to work but when we went back into the tool to cross reference, NONE of our funds appeared. They were gone. We had to set it back to 500. We're hearing from BB Support that “This is a current defect, which will be fixed in the next RELO release. The next RELO release is not yet scheduled. LO will show the first 500 options in alphabetical order. The only workaround is to name your cross references starting with something early in the alphabet so that they are visible in LO.”

Has anyone been able to find a workaround that does not involved adding zeros or early alphabet letters to their fund numbers? We have heard other colleges have moved off the RELO tool due to limitations like this.
