Can I use a National Team for this?

Hi- we are running several different local and national event Teamraisers, and also have community members participating in their own local events to support our organization by creating their own team pages on a branded central and general Teamraiser. We want to have one general team available to participants on any Teamraiser, such that they can participant and get the "team" feel, without having to register as an individual or join a team that they do not know. I tried to create a national team to do this, but this team is not appearing on our existing Teamraisers. I'm wondering if anyone can help me with this? Or has any suggestions/thoughts?
