Summary

The Project Manager is primarily responsible assisting UA team with ongoing activities as well as overseeing areas such as scholarships and budgeting. The Project Manager will work with various team members and help ensure accurate adherence to University standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate printing of materials with UR and outside vendors.
  • Assist with major gift fundraising projects.
  • Serve as the UA manager for scholarships.
  • Conduct prospect research and prepare profiles.
  • Support stewardship activities.
  • Maintain files for the department, electronic and paper.
  • Oversee and update web pages for University Advancement and Alumni.
  • Oversee and update mySXU department page.
  • Serve as project liaison within University Advancement as requested by the Vice President.
  • Attend university committees and meetings as requested to represent UA.
  • Oversee the budget and report the budget to UA team.
  • Supervise student workers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of professional experience that includes project management.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Exemplary work ethic.
  • Strong ability to meet regular deadlines.
  • Successful supervisory skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects, take initiative, and prioritize competing tasks.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and maintain professional relationships with many different constituencies both within and outside of the University.
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment, with an emphasis on teamwork and collegiality.
  • Understanding of appreciation for Catholic higher education and the mission of Saint Xavier University.
  • General computer literacy. Familiarity with databases such as Raiser’s Edge preferred.
  • Willingness to work the hours necessary to complete projects professionally and on time.
