The San José Museum of Art (SJMA) has an exciting opportunity for a Development Associate to join the Development team as an administrative support to help lead SJMA into its next chapter, re-imagining the Museum for the audience of the future. This enthusiastic, organized, ambitious, light-hearted individual will bring excellent written and verbal communication, sophisticated interpersonal skills, remarkable attention to detail and strong administrative proficiency. This role supports the Development Department and brings a “can-do” attitude.

This position supports the department’s internal systems, structures, and processes that enable the Development and Membership team to meet and succeed budget and operational goals while maintaining the highest standards of donor satisfaction and overall growth. The Development Associate serves as part of the administrative backbone for a small and energetic staff.

This is a hybrid position. During onboarding, a temporary need for five days per week on-site will be necessary. After training, the standard on-site requirement is three days per week, with occasional need for overtime or weekend presence, based on events and priorities.
