Teamraisaer Milestones and displaying badges

Options

Two questions about creating and displaying badges for Teamraiser milestones and personal achievement:

1) In Convio documentation, it says that badges will be displayed as 64x 64 pixel images and as 16 x 16 pixel images. Can we upload a separate, optimized image for the 16 x 16 image? I don't see anywhere to do this.

2) The Convio documentation also says only three milestone levels can be active. Does that mean we are allowed only three badges? That seems far too few for a typical Teamraiser event.

Does anyone have any help on these issues?

Thanks,

Nope, I believe the 16x16 is resized by Convio.

The docs are wrong or misleading on that. You can increase the number of milestones in the TR configuration.

(Note: You also get a badge for self-donating. That's an extra right there.)

Thanks for that info. I did find in the advanced configuration options you can specify up to 14 milestones. Yea!

But now I have another question re: milestone badges. The documentation says a badge is taken down as soon as the fundraising target for that badge is exceeded. Is that so?  That makes no sense. I was going to get around that by making a badge that coverd a range (say, $101 to $199), but I can't see how to specify a range. What's your advice on this?

    Yep, that's what happens.

These milestones are based on amount raised. You cross each milestone to get to the next level. They don't accumulate like game achievements. ("I got the gold Desert Eagle in fundraising!")

So we set up our milestones something like...

    First $100.00 Raised.

50% of Minimum Fundraising Earned. ($250)

100% of Minimum Fundraising Earned. ($500)

    Wow! Over $1000 Raised! ($1000)

You might give these milestones badges along the lines of bronze, silver, gold and platinum medals.

Or you could do it like...

    Walker (100)

    Jogger (200)

    Runner (500)

    Olympean (1000)

...which really shows how they wouldn't make sense all visible at once.

So you would set one milestone at $100, which would display until they reached $200 in fundraising. (When the badge gets updated with the $200 milestone image.)
