Trying to post an offline check received for team raiser

This should be pretty easy...but it is not. We received two offline checks for a team raiser. I have entered the donors in to constituents, but when I try to add their gifts, I only get ONE teamraiser in our drop down.  Unfortunately, this is not the teamraiser that I need. Not sure how to fix it. Suggestions?

    The process for recording an offline TeamRaiser gift is slightly different than a standard offline gift. To record an offline TeamRaiser gift, go to Fundraising -> TeamRaiser and click "Manage" on the event in question. If you want to record a gift made to a participant, search for them on the "Participants" tab, click on their name, then from their registration profile, scroll to the bottom and click "Enter Offline Gift". If you want to record a gift made to a team, search for the team on the "Teams" tab, click "Manage" on the team in question, and click "Record Team Donation" on the left. If you want to record a gift made to the event, go to the "Event Gifts" tab and click "Record Event Donation".

    Well, it is a bit complicated. We've set this up as a no-team fundraiser. It's one indidvidual raising money as her year long challenge. When I search for the participant the message comes back with 'no participant found' when I search the team, same message.

    If you haven't acutally registered the participant to the event, but perhaps named the event after them you should still be able to do this in order to record your offline donation 'If you want to record a gift made to the event, go to the "Event Gifts" tab and click "Record Event Donation".' 

     

    If you have registered them try putting the percent sign (%) in a search field and it should bring up all registered participants to that TeamRaiser.
