New Channel For Communication with Event Participants!

Options

WHAT'S THIS FEATURE?

It’s a multi-channel world, and this new tool enables you to reinforce your coaching emails with complementary content within the Participant Center. You can now add a newsfeed widget to the Participant Center that allows your event managers to target fundraisers with important messages, training tips, and other fundraising advice.

This feature is used for events that use blueprinting to manage multiple events, along with event management center.

HOW WILL THIS IMPROVE THE USER EXPERIENCE?

While Event Managers and Administrators can use this feature to communicate with participants, the feature was

designed to support clients with national event programs with specific program attributes including: Participants who live in one region but travel to other regions during an event season; Organizations who must communicate with local participants about an event that occurs outside their region; and Event Managers and Administrators who cannot edit the administrator‐defined content for an event.

For example:

  • Ashley (participant) lives in Austin, TX but is participating in an event in Portland, OR
  • The Event Manager who is responsible for the Texas region wants to better engage participants, like Ashley, who live in Texas BUT are participating in the Portland event

HOW DOES THIS SUPPORT EVENT STRATEGY?

To better engage these participants, the Event Manager creates several posts about: Training groups in the Austin area; How to prepare for cold weather running; and News about a meet and greet at the hotel the night before the event.  The Event Manager can then select all participants (like Ashley) to see these posts by selecting the state in which participants (like her) live and the Portland event they are attending. The Event Manager can also publish these posts so they are viewable in the Participant Centers of only the participants (like Ashley) who meet the selection criteria.

WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?

This enhancement comes with an array of front-end user benefits for organizations including: Rapidly deploying news and alerts to targeted participants; Providing additional value to participants with targeted articles, tips, offers, etc.; Increasing value engagement by delivering timely and targeted content.  On the back-end, this allows event managers / administrators to reach participants directly without having to navigate internal communication silos.
