Short URL for Teamraiser Participants

Options

I have a team and a few participants (including myself) who have indicated that they want to continue using their short url year after year, however when they try they get this message "The shortcut could not be updated. Try again later. Error: We're sorry, but the shortcut name 'jenplunkett' is already in use. Please choose another shortcut."

Is there any way around this - perhaps a setting in the configuration?

    Jennifer,

I'm not really sure if this can be bypassed and no one else seems to know. i went ahead and escalated this to a Support case so they can let us know.

If you are one of the contacts at your organization with access to Client Services (support) then you will receive email notifications from the person assigned to help you. If you do not have access to the support portal (the link above doesn't send you to the support portal), please let me know so I can note this in the case.

    Your case number is: 00534554

Please use the support portal to communicate any additional information with the client services team member assisting you with your case.

    Thank you!

  • To do so you'll first need to unpublish the event from the prior year, archive it and then an option will appear that says "release shortcut URLS". Once you click that all the old URLs will once again be available for people to use.
