how to filter an audience

Options

Hi--I need to send out an email to our current members, but only to members with an expiration date of 4/30 and/or 5/31. I can't figure out how to select this. All I see is an active member box to check. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

  • Hi @Amina Sharma,

    How are you managing the member expiration date? Is is calculated in LO, set in LO or somewhere else?

    You could use Query in LO to find this info, or if it is housed externally, you could export from LO your member Interest/group. Then do a vlookup on that exported group to find the expiring members. You would then import the members that are not found during your vlookup into LO and use it as a suppression group. This way you would be suppressing all members not meeting your criteria. Then set up your message and send to your member interest/group and use the newly created group from the vlookup to be a suppression group.

    Let us know and happy to answer any questions,

    Phil

    @Amina Sharma
    Good morning!

    I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for but in Report Writer you can run a Transactions report for Transaction Details. You will need to select some constituent biographical information columns to include in your report. You can include a Card Expiration Date (not sure if you mean card expiration or membership expiration). In Step 5 you can create a filter for Purchased Membership > Expire Date > In custom Range.

    When you run your report and view the results you can use that data to create a group that can be used as an email audience group. Click the save (disk) icon. this will generate a csv file. It may go directly to your computer's downloads folder.

    Then use the Data Import feature for a group assignment upload.

    I hope this helps.
