Donation Receipt Issues with Gmail

Hi everyone,


Recently we have been receiving complaints from some donors (all seem to be Gmail users) that they get the donation thank you autoresponder and the PDF is not attached and it just says "<receipt.pdf>" below the email where the PDF would normally be attached.


I have tested a donation with Gmail and I am not able to recreate this issue (the receipt is there for me). I have a strong feeling this is an issue/setting in the email app/program the donor is using but just thought I would ask.


Has anyone else noticed this issue?

Hey Meghan, we learned Gmail users weren't receiving their receipts back in March 2019 and had to resend them - I can't remember how far back the issue went. Trina handled the issue and resolved it so she'll have more info if you want to reach out. - Miranda

@Meghan Christiansen Hey Meghan, We recently migrated to NXT and LO. We are currently having this issue with the receipt not being attached to the auto-responder (generally gmail but some other providers as well), and have had some gmail or other providers not displaying the transaction summary, The headers might be there but the details are blank. Just wondering if you ever had a resolution for this?

@Rebecca Geisler we haven't found a solution to this yet but we have a ticket open with Support. Our autoresponders show up completely, but the attachment just isn't there.
