OLX Error code

Options
When trying to process event registrants, this is the message I am getting. Does anyone know how to fix this?

To use consent tracking, map solicit codes to channels in Raiser’s Edge. From Configuration, Business Rules, Constituent options, Consent options, select New Mapping. To add the required mapping, select the appropriate Channel and Online Express for Category. Map additional solicit codes to channels as necessary, such as if you also collect permission to use phone numbers

Holly Holmes‍ - According to KB Article #191577 you need to contact support to get this resolved.
  • Thank you Austin
  • Hi Holly Holmes‍. It sounds like you've enabled Consent Tracking in Online Express but don't have the required Consent channel/category mapping set up yet in RE. If you look in RE under Config > Business Rules > Constituent Options > Consent Options, do you see a mapping in the list like this (channel = Email, category = "Online Express")? If not, adding that mapping (via the New Mapping link at the top of that same view) would normally allow you to process OLX transactions where registrants have expressed consent preferences.

  • I have tried this and I am still getting the error.
  • Hey thanks for clarifying Holly Holmes‍. I think the right next step will be to connect with our Support team. I've spoken with them and I think we might be updating the KB article that Austen Brown‍ pointed out below. Ordinarily, you shouldn't need to work with our Support team when seeing that error. It generally just means that the Email / Online Express channel/category mapping doesn't exist. But it sounds like it does for you, so the right next step is for one of our Support associates to help figure out what's going on. If by chance it's something that other customers could experience too, we'll either update the KB to reflect the necessary steps or if by chance the system isn't working as designed, we'll resolve that.

    Thanks so much!

  • Hi Chris Martin‍, I contacted support yesterday morning, they are not sure how to fix it either. I have transactions that I need to process and am still not able to do it. I really am at a loss.
  • I'm sorry for that Holly Holmes‍. I'll message you directly and we'll get to the bottom of this.

    Thanks,

  • Hi Holly Holmes‍. You should be hearing from our Support team, but it looks like for a period of time, Consent Tracking was enabled in your Online Express account and during that time, you received a few event registration transactions through an event registration form that also had consent enabled. So whether you have Consent Tracking enabled at the moment or not, you'll still need to allow the consent that was expressed in those few registrations to process into RE, even if they happen to have been test transactions. Or you could delete the OLX registratoin transactions altogether instead of processing them into RE if they were just for test purposes.

To allow these transactions to process, you'll need to have a consent mapping set up in RE (under Config > Business Rules > Constituent Options > Consent Options) for each channel had enabled on your event registration form. For example, if your registration form allowed people to opt into Email, then you'll need a consent mapping in RE for channel = email, category = Online Express (and same for any other channels you had enabled at the time). Our Support team should be providing you with a list of the channels you had active when those registrations were received.

    Thanks!
