Self Service Reporting

Curious to see if anyone has built/implemented a successful self-service reporting method.    OSU is currently using SSRS - but the number of reports has gotten overwhelming and individuals have trouble finding the report they are looking for

Hi Julie,


I'm wondering if you are talking about just development reporting or broader campus wide reporting.   We utilize Business Objects at Michigan and open it up to all with Data Warehouse access as a self service reporting tool.  While it does provide some nice features for categorizing reports and organizing them for viewing, our users can and do end up with the same issue you mention with of lots of reports to sort through depending on how many custom reports the user has created.


We also use Tableau, but I'm not as familiar with whether self service is available.  Let me know if you have more questions.
