Creating & generating TY letters

Options
Hi! Looking for some best practices with regard to creating mail merge thank you letters in RE and generating/exporting/printing them in the most efficient way. Our current process involves a Word mail merge outside of RE and we're looking to streamline this process by eliminating unnecessary steps. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

  • Hi Laura-

RE is great for donor acknowledgement letters.  If you haven't, I suggest you take a Mail class.  Also, here are some resources I came up with from a quick search in the Community https://community.blackbaud.com/reviews/item/1/1446.

  • Conditional mail merges from Mail in RE work great. Take the time to take a class to learn about Mail in RE and then take your time to set up your letters properly. I just used it to merge a large group of letters from multiple gift batches. There were about 10 different letter types in the merge. Very efficient.
