Secure Checkout Donation Form Kit Issue

I used the new donation form kit to create a responsive donation form. It is working great for single gift donations. However, I can't figure out how to get the Sustaining Donations to work. The dollar amount will light up but the Give button doesn't work. Here is the link to the donation form: https://secure2.convio.net/res/site/SPageNavigator/Donation_Form.html

I used this flexible sustainer donation form (https://secure2.convio.net/res/site/Donation2;jsessionid=00000000.app203b?df_id=4998&4998.donation=form1&mfc_pref=T). I'm not sure if I missed a step when I was setting up the kit. Please advise

  • Hi guys,

    The original version of this kit was missing some code in the "secure_checkout_cssB.html" file that was a workaround for a code conflict between the Blackbaud Checkout code and a Bootstrap stylesheet. In the original blog post, I have updated the file in V2 of the kit as well as adding the workaround code below in a file called "sustaining_toggle.txt".


    To fix the toggle issue, add this code to the end of your "wpr_footer_js" reusable.

    Thanks for providing the new code. It works great. The last issue I have is that I can't figure out how to add the Facebook and Twitter icons to the donation form. The links are on the form but not the images.


    Please advise.

  • I had this same issue and this new code worked great. I am still however having an issue with the confirmation page and thank you email. Neither of which are working for me.  Anyone else having this problem?

    Patti - One of my jobs is to make sure you know about things -- new features, new resources, all that. Let me know if there are places you go or look for Luminate news? For this kit, which came out a few months ago, Erik Leaver did a Community blog posts, Shiloh posted a Resources link, I mentioned it in the last roadmap webinar, and Shiloh & Erik did a Tips & Timesavers webinar specifically on it. We tend not to do email (because people tell us they get too many emails from Blackbaud). So a lot of our sharing of news tends to be focused around the Community. Can you think of more ways we might make it easier to find news about new resources like this kit?

    Thanks for the information.  I rely I email notification because they pop up on my screen as I'm working and I can open it right there.  I don't have time to go in to the community and go searching for things.  I never have luck finding it on there anyway.  When desperate, I go to Blackbaud support or knowledge base and see if I can find it.  But I don't really have the time to go looking for things and I wouldn't know where I would have looked for this.  I remember seeing a bunch of available kits somewhere a while back, but I can't even remember where it was or how I got there!

    Good to hear that email works for you. Others tell me they have rules set to send Blackbaud emails straight to the trash. A nice reminder that we are all individuals! ;-)  If you look under the Resources tab in the Community above, you will find many of the recent toolkits. There are a LOT of places we share info about webinars and toolkits and product updates and and and ... all of the other things you want to know about. We can do better in this area, centralizing these resources. That is for sure. You can set up your notifications for the Luminate Community Blog so you get an email immediately every time a blog post goes up. Since this is the place we post notices about toolkits and product enhancements you can get an email that way.

  • Is anyone else having issues with the thank you webpage loading or receiving the thank you receipt email? I'd love to get this resolved so we can use these forms.

    It looks like your wrapper does not match the one in the kit. In the kit the main content has class="container", like this:

        <div class="container">

            <div class="row">

                <div class="col-sm-12">

                </div>



    In your wrapper, the class is equal to "gift-type-container" and there appears to be some code somewhere that is setting that to style="display:none", which is hiding the thank you message. Try changing your wrapper code so it matches the one in the kit. Change class="gift-type-container" to class="container".


    For anyone else having issues, make sure you are following the kit exactly if you have any issues with the wrapper.

  • Thanks Shiloh, that worked! Not sure who it got changed but I was fiddling with stuff when I had that CSS issue. 
  • What would be the trick to getting the default 'Monthly Donation' to work? I've set the default amount and Pre-Selected Gift Type within the form, but only the amount is coming through.
