Is there a way through batch/import to update the "This is the primary business" check box to the individual/org relationship?

Yes, if you are importing include the field "primary business" and have the field read "true", and then have your relationship and reciprocal coded as needed.  If you are doing a global add for a group of employees - in database view go to Admin - Globally add - Business and then select your query and add the fields as needed.  


NOTE you can also use Globally add business to globally add an org relationship that is NOT primary business, just be sure to uncheck "primary business" in the global add settings.

Thank you Elaine!  This is great!  We are fairly new at all this as we just went live a few months ago.  In regards to the import, I think I found it in the Constituent Batch "Business is Primary Org"?  but then I'm not sure what field to use to provide the Org lookup id that will be connected to the individual?  In regards to Global change, is this an out of the box option or customized?  The reason this came up was because when our data was converted, none of the individual to org relationships got the "This is the primary business" checked so we were trying to find a way to get this done quickly.  Also good to know when we want to load business information.
