Graphic Designer Freelance/Contract Work

The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network is looking for a graphic designer to provide ongoing social media, Web and email graphic design services to support the organization’s online communication strategies. Media for these strategies include the organization’s social media networks, primary web site, fightcancer.org, blogs, digital advertising, microsites, mobile sites, mobile apps and HTML emails. The target audiences for these strategies include volunteers, advocates, donors, the news media, state and federal legislature and the general public.


Over the long term, the vendor will play a key role in developing a creative, clean and consistent look and feel for ACS CAN’s digital presence. The goal of this development

is to increase ACS CAN’s grassroots base, increase online donations and engage people to learn more about cancer issues and take action.


Projects will include: social media graphics and images for use on multiple platforms, gifs, digital advertising imagery, graphics promoting Web site features, email images, web page mockups for issue campaign pages, illustration, videos and more.


Vendor will work with ACS CAN staff on graphic design in a fast-paced, campaign-driven production environment with typically short turnarounds. Deadlines can be anywhere from a week to, in some instances, several hours, if working on an urgent, immediate deadline.  Vendor should have experience producing engaging social media, email and web graphic design, a strong attention to User Interface design on web and mobile, and excellent use of photography in social media graphics and on websites. Must have experience working on multi-channel digital marketing campaigns (including web) and be proficient at creating illustrated graphics and layouts using Adobe Creative Cloud.
