  • While the community is a great place to try to get ideas from peers, it seems like your question is more technical.  If the technical question is worth the time to open a support case, please scroll to the bottom of this page and click Blackbaud Customer Support to open a case.

Thanks Elizabeth and Ray, I agree support would be logical place to have this answered.

When we first were looking into this we went to system requirements which didn't have any information about 2016 so we called support. They didn't know and pointed us to system requirements and to post here on the community asking the question.

  • Hi Sand Box Five‍,

I did some more research and discovered the community is the right place for your question. Blackbaud does not support Windows 2016 for NetCommunity as of yet, so there may be a peer who is ahead of the curve and figured out how to use it.  I hope you get a peer answer!

  • Does Blackbaud support Windows Server 2016 now for Raiser's Edge?
  • Rita,

According to https://kb.blackbaud.com/articles/Article/105689 the language now says "Raiser's Edge 7 is compatible with Windows Server 2016, but is not compatible with Nano Server." There is no modification date on the article but I know it did not say "is compatible" for the first 20 times I checked it, over a long period of time. However, their System Requirements document has not been updated. All I can find as of today is the one dated May 3rd, 2018, in which Server 2016 is still absent from the supported OS list. I have opened a case to find out.
