Average $ of Gift

For a database that is so sophisticated, why is it a long process just to find the average $ of the gifts received for the year? I feel like there should be a simple canned report for this, instead of having to go into export adding various items etc...

The various performance analysis reports will give you this (campaign, fund, appeal). So, you could do a campaign performance analysis, dial in a date range, maybe filter out gifts-in-kind and pledges?, and then run it. In the Grand Total row at the bottom you'll see the average gift size.

Ashley, you may be to get what you need by going to Record > Fund (or campaign - whatever you need) > View > Summaries > Fund Summary  Put in any filters you need.  To see what the report generates click Finish.  You get average gift amount, median, mode and other stats.
