How to merge same donor various gift types from one batch in one receipt

Rather lengthy title...I couldn't find anything specific to this in previous posts. We do not send Acknowledgment letters which allow the option for "one letter per donor/gift". We only send the receipts and if one donor donated to different funds, the receipting is  done per gift automatically with no option to switch it per donor. Could you please help? Thank you!

    Martina, if I'm understanding your question/what you want to do... one letter that is used for all the funds with a receipt to donor for total amount given to all the funds. You should be able to achieve this using "consolidated receipt" option (field is on Bio 2 tab). This will combine any gifts meeting criteria of the receipt set up into one total.  HOWEVER, you can not use this function if you have a conditional merge doc for your receipt. It will mark gifts as receipted but since RE doesn't know what letter to use it will not generate a Word doc that you can print.
  • Thank you JoAnn! Your answer helped and I was able to put all donations per donor on one receipt. However, now - next to the "receipt date" it says <consolidated>. I noticed it was related to that change. When I switched the "gift date" to "receipt date" the field ends up blank in Word. Any ideas please?

    I don't pull the "receipt date" field in our letters. I just have the date of the letter. :)  


    I'm guessing RE doesn't know which fund to pull the date from even if they are the same.
