A general question about Survey embedding

Options

This might be a stupid/uninformed question, but I will ask it anyway.

Is it possible to embed a survey from Convio's C360 platform into an external website (not hosted on the Convio CMS - it is a completely separate web server)?

This embedded survey should allow people to fill out the questions on the external page it will be embedded on, hit submit -- and then the information from the survery would be fed into the Convio database so that we would be able to run reports on it from the C360 platform.

Am I making sense? Thanks for any feedback you can give me.

  • It's a geat question, actually. Thanks for asking.

The answer is... yes, at present you can embed a Convio Survey in your externally hosted website. Once you've built the Survey in Convio, view the survey within a published page (public view), view source, copy the entire form code, and then paste that form code into your third party hosted web page.

Note that this work-around is only applicable to single-page surveys; it won't work for multi-page surveys. We also can't guarantee that this will continue to work in the future.

    Hope that helps.

  • What about Donation Forms can those be embeded into a site outside of Convio?

    Hey Matt,

I would suggest you take a look at the donation api offered as part of the open initiative.

This may give you the functionality that you are looking for.
