Cannot post batch when Event is open

I've never run into this before - we can't post a Batch if the RE Event is open. Even though the Batch isn't posting any Event registrations, if one of the Constituents is a Participant in the open Event, the Batch gives us an error message "This record is currently opened by user XX." Is this supposed to happen or is it a weird glitch?


FWIW, we are self-hosted.

Does it actually not allow you to post a batch, or does it just give you the error when adding a constituent to the batch?

Looks like it's when she's adding the Constituent to the Batch.

This may or may not be be new behavior, but it shouldn't be a problem. You can create a gift on a constituent while someone else has the constituent open. Gift records are their own unique thing, and they're merely related to a constituent. So long as there are no exceptions during the commit process, you should be fine.
