Why am I getting emails about a fallback unsubscribe request form?

"A constituent attempted to cancel their email subscription by selecting the unsubscribe link, but that link was corrupted for some reason. As a result, the constitutent record has not been updated to reflect the unsubscribe request.

These emails are indeed generated by Convio. The email you received is part of the fallback process in the situation where an unsubscribe link within an email is corrupt in some way.

Most of the time that an email unsubscribe link is corrupted it is due to the particular email browser being used. Some email browsers make slight changes to URLs within emails, and in the case of our unsubscribe links, the change can cause the link to be considered corrupted. This fallback procedure asks them to input their email address and generates an email to the site admin requesting the unsubscribe, and an email to the constituent confirming the request has been submitted.
