What is "Notification delivery stopped on exception: No active spoolers. aborting send."?

Sometimes, during peak times, our IT department has to stop an email from sending in order to insure that the site doesn't go down due to heavy server load. When this happens, you get an error:

"Notification delivery stopped on exception: No active spoolers. aborting send."

When you see this error, it's possible that some email has been sent. The best way to handle this is to send the email again - anyone who did receive the email during the first attempt to send will NOT be sent a second copy, but everyone who did not receive the email during the first send will receive the copy as part of this second delivery.

If it does not send on the second try, contact support as there may be another issue.
