Emailing Customized Call Alert Info

Options

In a call alert user interface, there is a box at the bottom of the "make a call" page that allows a user to email him/herself the talking points and contact information for his/her member of Congress (this appears after the user has entered his/her zip code information or logged in).

Here is a mock up of the box:

Send yourself an email message of this page with a link to log your call.

The resulting email contains all the information necessary for a user to make calls to his/her member of Congress and links to forms where they can log their calls when complete. The email is essentially a carbon copy of the Make a call page.

Does anyone know if it is possible to insert the customized information generated by the "Make A Call" page email into the body of a broadcast email generated from the Convio Email module (where the contacts, talking points and links to Log a Call would be customized and included in the body of the email based on the Constituent 360 record we have on file for the user)? It would be similar in concept to inserting Action Alert information into an email. If anyone has any suggestions on how to accomplish this, they would be appreciated.

Thanks,

  • Hey Jennifer,

There isn't a way to insert this component into a message in an email campaign as these messages can easily be sent to individuals that don't have information in the system that would allow us to follow congressional courtesy. The fact that the constituent has to provide their address information to the system before being allowed to send the email to themselves to call later is what makes sure we follow congressional courtesy for the call alert.
