Email From Lines & Blackberries

Hi,

Wondering if anyone else has come across this problem and possible solutions.

We set up an email with the Sender Name: Alumni Western and the Sender Email Address: . The email address is not an alias and belongs to an actual person.

All messages received to computers came in with Alumni Western in the From line. Messages received on handheld devices like Blackberries, howerer, put the Jane Doe into the From line.

Does a regular email to a blackberry have the same problem (change the "friendly from" on a personal account to something random and try it out)? That would be the thing to test. My guess is that it does not. The only thing I could think to do is -- if that constituency was important enough -- would be to create an email alias for jane doe, with the email address being something like alumniwestern.support@
