Gift Field Default Sets Creating Split Gifts

Hi all-


Starting last week, suddenly all of the Defaults I use when fixing gifts creates a split gift rather than just updating the information as usual. We have gifts automatically pull through from another platform, so we have to go into each one and manually add an Appeal and Package. Usually after hitting Shift>F2, the Appeal and package will add as well as Letter Code and two Attributes. If there's already an Appeal populated in the gift which occassionally happens, the Appeal in the Default set would just get ignored but the package and everything else would add. This is how we prefer it. 


However, as of last Thursday, seemingly out of the blue, when we use the Default sets using Shift>F2, instead of updating the Appeal and Package, it puts the Appeal and Package entered in the Default set as a split gift and keeps the old Appeal/Package (if there was one at all) as the other half of the slip. Nothing at all has changed with the Defaults or our systems that I am aware of. 


Has anyone experiecne this or know what may suddenly be causing this? It's making our data clean up much more difficult because we have to go in and delete the split and/or enter all of the info that we can usually enter in one second using the Default, all manually.
