Event Module - Track Anonymous Attendees

We just hosted a donor reception and had 22 extended family members of one honoree attend. We didn't capture names, but I would like the attendee count to reflect them. I can't find any way to add a group or increase the attended count without having to add 'Anonymous 1, Anonymous 2, etc. as registrants?


We're still pretty new at using the event module. I don't think this is possible, but was hoping someone could confirm one way or the other.

As far as I know, the only way to bump the numbers up to reflect actual attendence is to add in the unknown attendees.


Although I might add the names as Last Name = Honoree name, First Name = Guest 1, Guest 2, etc...


That way you know that the unknown guests belong to the Honoree.


And when you pull reports, they'll sort together.

I did that for a few and then thought "there has to be a better way," but couldn't find one -- so I thought it would be good to ask in case it was Monday Brain.
