Do you add someone as a solicitor of themselves?

Options
Our board is raising funds for the tax credit this year, but they are also making personal gifts. Do you add a donor who is a solicitor as a solicitor of themselves in order to report on how much they brought in? I haven't reported this way in the past, so any tips would be greatly appreciated! TIA

We have done it two ways. Team/Board member is assigned to a Captain per the solicitor organization chart and that solicitor is assigned their own name.  Most often they have their own name and their gift counts toward their total. If no solicitor is assigned to ask your board member, then, yeah, let them get credit for their gift. IMO
