Paged Lists

I would like to create paginated list. So far, I have figured out to set the "Page Size" underneath "List Properties" to the number to display per page. I also figured out to add "?page=N" to the end of the URL.

Is there a way to check if I am on the last or first page?

There is a pagination component. This was disabled on my site which is why I didn't see it.
