We use the "Date From" field on the Spouse relationship record, but we also keep it written very plainly "Marriage Anniversary is 11-11-11" as a note on the Notes tab. We started doing this so it was easier at a glance for our gift officers to go in and learn any useful notes collected about the donor over the years in one collective area.

    Thank you, Angela!

We do the same, the date from on the relationship record.  If you only have the month and day, you can still enter it there with 9999 as the year.

  • Thanks, Heather!

I also just found a record in my database where the anniversary date was recorded 2 places - where I detailed in my first answer to you, but also as a phone type of "Notes" (formatted as a text field) on the Other tab in the phone & email area of the Bio 1 tab.  I like it there too, so I'm going to see if I can make that our standard practice.  Yes, it's a bit of redundancy, but I have people who look different places in the records for their information, so something like this would be nice to have available in more than one spot.

  • Thanks, Heather. It seems like that is a good way to do it,
too. And that it is able to be reported on both ways (ex: running a
query on anniversaries that fall in December).

    Thanks,

    Lauren
