Help with Coaching Email Performance Report Result Definitions

I ran a coaching email performance report, and two columns appeared: # of Registrations, and # of TeamRaiser registrations. In the Help Index the definitions are:

Registrations, Number of: Email Response Actions / How many new constituents registered in response to the coaching email message... and:

TeamRaiser Registrations, Number of: Email Response Actions / How many new participants registered for the TeamRaiser in response to the coaching email message

I'm not sure what the difference is between a constituent and a participant to understand the results of the report. I've looked all over the Online Help index, as well as searched in the Community, and just cannot come up with a "dictionary" of sorts to help me define these two terms. Can anyone tell me the difference, and how to help read this type of report?
