Adjusting gifts - using split gifts to change appeal codes

Hello. I wanted to see if anyone else is using the split gifts tab when you adjust gifts, to change the appeal code of the gift? Previously, I have re-entered the gift when I wanted to change the appeal code. Are there any ramifications to using the split gifts tab for this?? Thanks!

Also, if you are only changing the appeal mark the adjustment as Posted, Roni doesn't need to see an adjustment for just a change in appeal.  It wouldn't show the change on her side anyway.

Just as Joshua said, this is exactly the way to do an adjustment. I use the split gift tab to change campaign, appeal, and package info regularly, and yes, always mark it posted since changing that level of detail doesn't affect the gift in FE at all, so there's no need to actually post the adjustment.

That's the way we adjust an appeal code.
