Errors on Honor/Memorial Forms

I’ve had a few questions about problems completing donations after adding optional honor/memorial fields to the donation form. While testing, some Go! admins have gotten error messages saying form fields are missing required information. But all the info appears to be there. What gives?!

The trick is to make sure your hon/mem fields are not “Required.” If you utilize the check box that hides or shows the hon/mem fields in the donation form, your constituents can choose to fill those fields out or not. But, if you set hon/mem fields to be required, folks NOT trying to give an hon/mem gift will get an error message.

Easy fix: Just edit each of your hon/mem fields and uncheck the box that says field is required. You’ll see the little star disappear indicating a required field. If all hon/mem fields lack a star, you’re safe.
