entering designations and getting the correct report

How do you enter your agency designtions into each account and do you have a report that would help me get that information for our budget this June?

  • Hi Sherri - Could you clarify what you mean by "agency designations"?  I could see this as both a Fund designation and also a segmentation of constituent accounts.  My guess is Fund designations if you are working budget planning, but I want to make sure any recommended options hit the right notes for you. Look forward to your feedback.

    As i am entering those designations to our partner agencies i have both selected funds and also segmented gifts.  Now i have run a report and both come out in my query so i think i am entering correctly.  but i still wonder if anyone is doing this differently and how do i get a summary report for the results?

  • Great!  Glad your query output is getting what you need.  If you are looking to summarize by a designation (like Fund or a UDF on the transaction), use report groups.  You can even collapse groups to get a true, summary-only report (without the rows of transactions).  See #3 in this article here.
