Primary Email Address - Required?

If I try to edit an email address in ReNXT to mark as "inactive" and have no other email address to enter, I wouldn't expect to have to deal with the message regarding the fact that there is no primary email address.  And I'm unable to delete the email address.


Is there a way to turn off the check for a primary email address on record?  We have many people with multiple phone/email addresses and we do not know which is the primary for many of them.

I have found this to be an annoyance, because we chose not to use the Primary or Inactive checkboxes (just sticking with our Phone Type system).  So it's annoying to have to select a Primary Phone in NXT, but if we don't actually know or there isn't really a primary, then I run a Query in 7 and uncheck the boxes.  We really don't use the DNC mark, either.  But I love the Comment field.  And it's tied directly to the Phone Record, so it's fully functional in Query, whereas DNC, Primary, and Inactive are not.
